Job Overview

Comer Group Ireland, a leading private landlord in Ireland, is on the lookout for a Full-Time Painter to join their team based in Dublin, along the N3 corridor. This role involves performing painting, decorating, and related repair work across properties owned and managed by Comer Group Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out painting and decorating tasks and repairs on assigned properties.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team and assist in broader maintenance activities as needed.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning walls, patching holes, and removing old paint before application.
  • Mix and apply paints and finishes, including decorative and faux effects as required by different projects.
  • Efficiently plan and prepare work areas, protecting surrounding spaces with cloths or plastic.
  • Move furniture and equipment to access all project surfaces.
  • Estimate the materials and time necessary for each painting task.
  • Remove fixtures such as doorknobs and switch covers before starting work; reattach them upon completion.
  • Tape off areas to ensure clean paint lines and use Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and scaffolding safely when needed.
  • Keep work areas clean by tidying supplies regularly.
  • Maintain clear communications with the Maintenance and Property teams to coordinate tasks.
  • Support other departments during busy periods and perform any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Adhere to the company's Lone Worker Policy strictly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate for operating Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP).
  • Full valid Driver's Licence is required.
  • Safe Pass certification mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for quality finishes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage tasks and materials.
  • Previous experience in painting or decorating is preferred.
