Role Overview

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for delivering precise and detailed cost and labor estimates to support project planning and execution. This role plays a vital part in the company's operational success and offers room for professional growth within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, proposals, and other related documents to generate time, cost, and labor projections for various projects.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, departmental teams, and site foremen to establish accurate estimates and resolve any concerns.
• Conduct specialized studies to develop standard labor hours and cost data or to identify opportunities for reducing expenses.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates that assist management in planning, organizing, and scheduling construction activities.
• Regularly generate cost and expenditure reports along with essential documentation throughout the project's timeline.
• Review material and labor needs to decide the most economical approach between producing or purchasing components.
• Perform thorough risk analysis for construction projects and suggest effective mitigation plans.
• Stay informed about emerging construction technologies and incorporate them into cost estimation methods.
• Work closely with project managers and team members to ensure that all estimates are accurate and completed on schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Demonstrated expertise across multiple construction sectors including hospitals, education, commercial, government, retail, medical, and civil projects.
• In-depth understanding of construction cost estimation principles and methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and machinery.
• Exceptional analytical abilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using specialized cost estimation software.
• Educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar disciplines is preferred.
• Capability to perform well under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
• Commitment to ethical business practices and adherence to industry regulations.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity
