Role Overview

The Electrical Supervisor role is a full-time position based at Invercargill, Southland, focused on directing electrical maintenance and project work at various client facilities. Key duties involve supervising electricians and contractors, managing daily scheduling, verifying compliance with electrical standards and safety protocols, allocating resources, tracking job progress, and conducting quality assurance on completed tasks. The position requires interfacing with clients and internal teams, preparing basic performance reports, fostering continuous enhancement of services and operational efficiency, advocating for workplace safety, facilitating team training, and nurturing a collaborative and positive team culture.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong technical expertise in electrical installation, maintenance, fault detection, and repair for commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills, including management of team coordination, workload distribution, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety regulations, health and safety practices, and risk management.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities, including reporting, client engagement, documentation, and teamwork across functions.
• Relevant electrical trade certification, current electrical registration, and valid practicing license are essential; experience in facilities or building services is strongly preferred.
• Experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance, a valid driver's license, and capability to work onsite across multiple client venues are beneficial.
