About the Role
Higgins Palmerston North seeks a motivated and hardworking Concrete Labourer to assist our concrete teams across multiple civil construction jobs in the Manawatū-Whanganui region. This hands-on position involves outdoor work and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, placing, and finishing concrete
- Support construction of kerbs and channels
- Perform general labor duties on various construction sites
- Operate hand tools and small machinery safely and effectively
- Help with site setup, upkeep, and cleanup
- Contribute to safe and quality delivery of projects
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications and Attributes
- Experience in construction, civil works, or laboring is preferred
- Concrete experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Possess a full and clean Class 1 driver's licence
- Holding a Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements is advantageous
- Physically fit to undertake manual labor
- Dependable, punctual, and diligent
- Flexible availability for working hours as needed
- Positive mindset and commitment to workplace safety
