About the Role
Higgins Palmerston North seeks a dedicated and energetic Concrete Placer to join our team. This position entails engaging in diverse concrete-related tasks throughout the region. Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work, take pride in delivering quality finishes, and thrive within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, place, and finish concrete to meet high-quality standards
- Lay concrete kerb and channels proficiently
- Operate small machinery and tools safely and effectively
- Assist with general construction duties as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and quality project outcomes for clients
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and finishing concrete surfaces
- Proven ability to lay concrete kerb and channel
- Understanding of standard practices, materials, equipment, and tools used in concrete construction and maintenance
- Possession of a full and clean Class 1 driving license; Class 2 with WTR endorsements is considered advantageous
- Physically fit, dependable, and punctual
- Flexibility to work various hours including Monday to Sunday shifts
- Positive mindset with a strong commitment to safety protocols
