Compound Operative

Position Overview

Vertu Hereford PDI Prep Centre is seeking a dedicated Compound Operative to become part of their team at the Hereford location. This role involves hands-on duties related to the movement and management of vehicles and parts within and between compounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles within the compound as well as to and from adjacent compound locations.
• Collect parts from nearby sites and assist the PDI Manager in overseeing parts operations on site.
• Receive and verify deliveries of new and used vehicles.

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will demonstrate confidence and a customer-oriented approach, possessing a clean, full driving licence. The role requires independence while also representing the company in interactions with customers and colleagues spread across multiple premises.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
• Basic hourly wage: £12.71, with a 40-hour workweek.
