Job Purpose

Join AESG's multidisciplinary project team to perform site inspections and validate test outcomes to ensure accuracy. This role offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of commissioning processes and testing procedures within the engineering discipline while demonstrating eagerness and capacity to learn.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in MEP or Building Services Engineering
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• College Diploma in MEP or Building Services Engineering
• HNC, HND or equivalent qualifications
• College Certificate in MEP or Building Services Engineering
• ONC, OND or equivalent certification
• MEP trade experience with City & Guilds Certificate
• Minimum 2 years job-related experience with an Engineering Degree
• Minimum 3 years job-related experience with a College Diploma
• Minimum 4 years job-related experience with a College or Trade Certificate
• Relevant industry accreditations
• Incorporated Engineer status is preferred but not mandatory
• CSA Grade 3 qualification is desirable but not essential
• Commissioning certifications such as BCA, ACG, or NEBB are advantageous but not required

General Expectations

• Possess moderate experience and adeptness across multiple areas of competence.
• Capable of managing assigned tasks under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in executing commissioning activities.
• Expand knowledge within the chosen engineering discipline and understand system interactions within buildings.
• Perform site inspections focused on specific disciplines.
• Evaluate test procedures and documented results to ensure they meet project specifications and industry codes.
• Assist in reviewing project documentation for compliance with standards and specifications.
• Communicate clearly, precisely, and effectively any issues discovered to senior personnel.
• Coordinate professionally with contractors' commissioning teams.
• Conduct site observations assessing the quality of installations.
• Supervise installation processes, submittals, and the application of engineering tools in line with project and commissioning standards.
• Help track task completions and prepare forward-looking lookahead documentation.
• Maintain a daily log detailing site events, systems inspected, documents reviewed, and decisions made by authorities on site.
