Job Purpose

Joining AESG’s multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for performing site inspections to validate that test results meet project standards. Additionally, you will provide commissioning services aligning with our company’s reputation for excellence and client expectations.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Degree holders in MEP or Building Services Engineering, such as BSc Electrical Engineering or BSc Building Services Engineering.
• Applicants with a college diploma (HNC, HND, or equivalent) in MEP or Building Services Engineering are also eligible.
• Possession of a college certificate (ONC, OND, or equivalents), or MEP trade certification with City & Guilds is acceptable.
• Professional accreditation is advantageous though not mandatory: Incorporated Engineer status, CSA Grade 4, and commissioning certifications like BCA, ACG, or NEBB.
• Experience requirements vary by education level: minimum 5 years for degree holders, 6 years for diploma earners, and 7 years for those with certificate or Trade certification.

• Possess ability to work autonomously on complex engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections independently within your specific engineering discipline.
• Review design documentation, assess tolerances, and check agreed methods.
• Evaluate test procedures and results for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assist in scrutinizing project documents to ensure they meet required codes and specifications.
• Clearly communicate any issues or discrepancies to senior team members.
• Maintain professional interaction with contractors’ commissioning teams.
• Perform quality observations during installation phases.
• Generate high-quality documentation including site observation reports.
• Engage in meetings and workshops relevant to your discipline as needed.
• Monitor installation activities, submittals, and use of engineering tools ensuring adherence to project and commissioning protocols.
• Track task completions and prepare future work lookaheads and milestone trackers.
• Keep detailed daily records of events, inspections, documentation reviews, and decisions made by site authorities.
