Job description
Position Overview
The Clothing Processor role involves comprehensive handling of apparel merchandise from receiving shipments to ensuring proper display on the sales floor and managing the receiving area efficiently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Process all incoming apparel shipments promptly and accurately by following visual merchandising and merchandise presentation standards, making full use of the inventory management system (approximately 50% of duties).
- Replenish sales floor merchandise systematically, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines and utilizing inventory software (10%).
- Stay well-informed about ongoing sales promotions to support optimal backroom organization and effective merchandise restocking (10%).
- Assist with unloading delivery trucks when needed (10%).
- Help with maintaining accurate pricing and signage on merchandise (5%).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked workspace (5%).
- Organize and ensure easy access to backstock items (5%).
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all visitors (5%).
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience is required.
- No certificates or licenses are obligatory.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in company computer systems and devices, including System Two, RF/Gizmo handheld devices, and Point of Sale registers.
- Capability to process and organize information like planograms, visual guides, and merchandising standards effectively.
- Competence in analyzing replenishment reports to efficiently stock the sales floor.
- Strong communication skills to interact pleasantly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Aptitude for building and maintaining positive working relationships with management, employees, and customers.
Physical Demands
- Frequent walking, standing, and computer use.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Minimal sitting.
- Capability to safely use ladders or lifts when required.
Working Conditions and Supervision
Works under general supervision, following established procedures but occasionally exercising independent judgment to complete assignments and suggest improvements to policies and operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.75.
