Steward - Dishwasher

About the Role

Bass Pro Shops is launching a new restaurant within its store in Sayreville, NJ, and is seeking enthusiastic staff members passionate about food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Steward - Dishwasher will be responsible for properly cleaning, storing, and maintaining all washable items, ensuring a sanitary and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machinery to guarantee a consistent supply of clean and sanitized tableware.
• Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to sanitation standards mandated by the Health Department.
• Follow established food storage, handling, and preparation protocols.
• Comply with Ecosure standards for safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness and safety through routine floor care, trash removal, proper equipment storage, and dish area cleaning before shift conclusion.
• Handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely and correctly.
• Complete all mandatory training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated passion and experience in consumer service roles.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks and collaborate as a team member.
• Flexibility and mindfulness toward working cohesively within a team.
• Maintain clean, clear service areas.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures as directed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Tasks performed under direct supervision with established policies and procedures, with work reviewed by a supervisor.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting hourly wage ranges from $15.92 to $20.75.
