Opportunity Overview

Ventia invites dedicated individuals to join our Defence Base Services team at the Albury Wodonga Military Area as Cleaners. This role is critical in sustaining the cleanliness and safety of various Defence environments including accommodation, medical facilities, offices, entertainment venues, and warehouses.

Position Details

• We offer both permanent full-time and casual employment options.
• Permanent full-time employees receive $26.24 per hour plus superannuation.
• Casual workers are paid $26.24 per hour plus 25% casual loading and superannuation.
• Ventia holds a 6-year Defence Base Services contract with potential extensions.

Key Duties

• Conduct and supervise routine cleaning activities across designated sites.
• Perform tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms.
• Replenish bathroom and cleaning supplies as necessary.
• Track cleaning materials inventory and order supplies when needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful environments for both staff and visitors.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in commercial or institutional cleaning.
• Proficient in operating and caring for cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of appropriate cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Knowledge of proper waste management and recycling standards.
• Hold a current Australian Driver's License and have personal transportation to travel between sites.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance, which requires Australian citizenship and clearing an Australian Federal Police Check.
