Child Minder

Role Overview

The Child Minder is responsible for delivering safe and attentive care to children of guests in the designated play or creche area within the property. The role ensures children's wellbeing, safety, and enjoyment while their guardians are occupied elsewhere.

Primary Duties

• Constantly supervise children in the assigned creche/play area to guarantee their safety and wellbeing.
• Register each child at drop-off with detailed information including name, age, parent/guardian contact details, allergies, special needs, and authorized pickup persons.
• Plan and carry out engaging, age-appropriate games and activities to keep children entertained.
• Maintain continuous visual contact and keep an accurate headcount of all children under care.
• Uphold strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety protocols within the play area and on all equipment.
• Provide basic first aid for minor injuries and immediately notify security, medical staff, or management in emergencies.
• Release children only to authorized persons recorded during registration.
• Enforce maximum child capacity limits and ensure age-appropriate access to the kids' area.
• Report and document any incidents, injuries, or concerns according to standard operating procedures and communicate them to supervisors or management.
• Consistently exhibit a warm, patient, and caring attitude toward children.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping and security teams to maintain cleanliness, safety checks, and area access control.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

• Minimum educational requirement of Higher Secondary (10+2); preference given to candidates with backgrounds in childcare, early childhood education, or nursing.
• Certification in childcare, first aid, or CPR is advantageous, or willingness to complete such training.
• Previous experience in childcare environments such as creches or nurseries preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English and/or Hindi; additional languages are beneficial.
• Possesses patience, responsibility, and genuine fondness for working with children.
• Subject to background verification and police clearance due to role sensitivity.

• Shift schedules may rotate, including weekends and holidays, aligned with property hours.
• This is an active, hands-on position requiring prolonged standing, movement, and interactive engagement with children.
• The work area is a supervised, secure zone designed to ensure child safety.

Based on performance and tenure, there is potential advancement to roles such as Senior Child Minder or Kids' Area Supervisor.
