Chief Technology Officer (AI Focus)

About the Role

We seek an outstanding Chief Technology Officer to lead the strategic vision and execution of technology innovation and comprehensive digital transformation within our organization based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of experience, who can operate at a strategic and enterprise-wide scale and collaborate closely with executive teams locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement AI and Generative AI strategies, promoting adoption and large-scale application within the enterprise.
• Drive extensive digital transformation programs that reshape business processes and technology infrastructure.
• Develop and oversee cloud strategies, including architecture design, adoption plans, and optimization of cloud operations.
• Lead enterprise data initiatives through strategy development, platform management, governance, and value maximization.
• Set and maintain standards for enterprise architecture and establish technology roadmaps aligned with business needs.
• Establish technology governance frameworks, decision-making protocols, standards, and controls to ensure quality and compliance.
• Identify, manage, and assure technology risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Build effective and scalable operating models to support technology functions across the organization.
• Manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors, focusing on commercial agreements and performance management.
• Collaborate directly with senior leadership teams within KSA and international offices to ensure technology initiatives support organizational goals.

Candidate Profile

• At least 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles.
• Extensive expertise in AI, digital transformation, cloud computing, and data management.
• Proven track record leading complex enterprise-scale technology transformations.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture and established technology governance practices.
• Experience with technology risk and control frameworks, along with assurance processes.
• Strong commercial skills managing strategic technology partners and vendors.
• Ability to effectively influence and advise C-suite executives and organizational leadership.
• Experience operating within Saudi Arabia or similarly complex international environments.
• Blend of strategic thinking with strong operational execution capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
