About the Role and Company
The Munich Marriott City West hotel, located in the lively Westend area of Munich near the Old Town and Oktoberfest grounds, features 398 guest rooms and extensive event facilities including a modern conference center and several upscale dining options such as the Italian Assoluto restaurant & Vineria with open show kitchen, Assoluto Deli, and Westhub Lounge & Bar. This position as Chef de Partie invites skilled kitchen professionals to join a team dedicated to high-quality hospitality and culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen shifts with partial independence, assisting supervisors with administrative duties.
- Maintain oversight and leadership of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to innovative menu planning and cost calculations aligned with the food and beverage concept.
- Enhance productivity and efficiency within assigned kitchen areas while serving as a role model and providing feedback and suggestions to higher management.
- Collaborate closely with the service team during work shifts to ensure coordination.
- Oversee kitchen hygiene and adherence to maintenance protocols including HAACP standards.
- Support procurement processes through consulting with supervisors on purchasing and ordering supplies.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with all food and beverage departments and the leadership team.
- Play an active role in the development and training of apprentices, sharing extensive culinary knowledge.
- Create social media content regularly to aid marketing efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years professional kitchen experience at a high standard.
- Strong creativity and enthusiasm for culinary execution paired with methodical work habits.
- Unwavering quality awareness and high standards in all job aspects.
- A confident, hands-on personality with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Passion for mentoring apprentices and willingness to share expertise.
- Possession of a valid work permit for Germany or EU and proficiency in German language are mandatory.
