Role Overview

The Cashier is an essential frontline position responsible for delivering prompt, welcoming, precise, and secure service to customers during checkout and return processes. This role also involves overseeing and managing the Self-Checkout area to maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer purchases and returns to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout stations to assist customers and ensure functionality.
• Continuously enhance product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify sales opportunities.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to reduce inventory shrinkage.
• For Head Cashiers, duties include allocating positions for other cashiers, speeding up price verifications, authorizing point-of-sale actions including markdowns across various registers and service desks.
• Provide first-level resolution for customer concerns and help train, supervise, and mentor front-end team members by participating in the onboarding and coaching of new cashiers.

Qualifications

• Preferred: At least one year of prior experience working as a cashier.
