About the Role
The Cashier position is vital for delivering fast, friendly, precise, and safe service to customers. This role involves conducting checkout and return transactions and overseeing the Self-Checkout zones. Cashiers actively gather product and project knowledge to provide helpful information and identify opportunities for additional sales. They strictly comply with company policies to minimize shrinkage.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
A Head Cashier supports and leads Cashiers by managing cashier assignments, expediting price verifications, and authorizing Point of Sale (POS) transactions and markdowns across main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental areas. They serve as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns and assist with supervising, coaching, and training frontline team members by contributing to onboarding new Cashiers and leveraging available tools for staff development.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate for the Head Cashier role has over one year of experience performing cashier duties.
