Position Overview

As a Cashier, you will provide outstanding support to customers throughout the checkout process, fostering loyalty through exceptional service. The role also involves vigilance in safeguarding company assets by keenly spotting discrepancies to prevent losses.

Key Duties

• Welcoming customers courteously and with a friendly demeanor.
• Efficiently handling all purchase transactions, including deactivating items in accordance with the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Promoting corporate-sponsored initiatives such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Helping customers with bagging and loading purchases.
• Following safety protocols including correct lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Securing the cash register by responsibly managing cash, adhering strictly to company policies, and remaining alert to surroundings.
• Referring specific service or transactional issues to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.15 CAD.
