Job description
Overview
Cashiers serve an essential customer-facing role, delivering quick, friendly, precise, and secure service. They handle checkout and return transactions and manage the Self-Checkout zones. In addition, they actively acquire product and project knowledge to provide information and recognize sales opportunities. Compliance with all policies and procedures is mandatory to reduce inventory loss.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
A Head Cashier leads by assigning cashier duties and assisting with price verifications, approving point-of-sale transactions and discounts for main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental services. They act as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns and support Front End Associates through coaching and training, including onboarding new cashiers and utilizing all resources available for their development.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate for the Head Cashier role has a minimum of one year of experience working as a cashier.
