Role Overview

The Carpenter role involves constructing and maintaining various building structures. The position demands expertise in construction and remodeling trades, including practical knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, equipment, quality and cost control, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Hanging doors and installing door hardware accurately
• Positioning and setting windows properly
• Layout design for stairs and common rafters
• Constructing formwork according to project specifications
• Reading and interpreting blueprints for construction tasks
• Estimating materials using strong mathematical and analytical skills

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Documented experience as a carpenter, preferably within the hospitality sector
• Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for demanding carpentry activities
