Job Overview
The Adventure Park Technician holds responsibility for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe functioning of all adventure park attractions and equipment. This includes overseeing ropes courses, zip lines, climbing walls, harnesses, belay systems, and related gear to comply with safety standards and manufacturer instructions, thereby providing guests with a secure and enjoyable experience.
Primary Duties
- Perform daily pre-opening inspections on all adventure park equipment and attractions.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on ropes courses, zip lines, climbing structures, harnesses, helmets, belay devices, and connected apparatus.
- Evaluate structural elements like cables, platforms, anchors, pulleys, braking mechanisms, and safety equipment for soundness.
- Conduct repairs and replace any worn or damaged parts as necessary.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and service logs.
- Adhere strictly to company safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant industry standards.
- Promptly report any safety hazards, defects in equipment, or maintenance needs.
- Support annual equipment inspections and collaborate with external safety auditors.
- Assist in emergency procedures and technical rescues when required.
- Maintain organization and upkeep of workshop tools, spare parts inventories, and maintenance equipment.
- Work closely with operations teams to reduce downtime without compromising safety.
- Ensure all work sites are clean, safe, and hazard-free.
- Participate actively in ongoing technical and safety training sessions.
- Contribute to the installation and commissioning process of new park attractions and equipment when necessary.
- Undertake other related tasks as assigned by management.
