Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking motivated entry-level Lot Attendants to join Carvana, the nation’s fastest-growing used car retailer and a Fortune 500 company. In this full-time position, you will maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of vehicles at our Market Hubs, working collaboratively to ensure timely deliveries and outstanding customer experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly wage of $16 with guaranteed increases based on performance milestones.
- Pay progression: $16/hr initially; $16.25/hr at 3 months; $16.50/hr at 6 months; $16.75/hr at 9 months; and $17/hr at 12 months.
- Earn merit-based pay boosts every 90 days through the "Careers Not Jobs" program.
- Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, plus your birthday off.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, and cosmetic issues.
- Thoroughly wash and vacuum all vehicle inventory regularly.
- Perform multi-point inspections on new inventory, covering fuel levels, safety features, drivability tests, and proper documentation display.
- Maintain constructive relationships with colleagues and external vendors.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management across various departments.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable attendance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 and possession of a valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record for the preceding 3 years.
- Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds independently, including lifting between knee to shoulder height and transport up to 20 feet.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical activities such as stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in various environmental conditions that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet or odorous.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather types.
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity are essential.
- Use of safety gear such as face shields, goggles, gloves, masks, non-slip shoes, and other protective equipment as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance is mandatory.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
