Cafe Associate

Position Overview

This role involves being an integral team member responsible for knowledge of prepared food merchandise, collaborating across teams, effectively communicating, and adapting to various tasks to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date understanding of product specifications related to prepared foods and assist in educating fellow associates about tools and processes.
• Prepare food items following specification requirements, plan production schedules including mass and seasonal preparations, ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, cold chain protocols, and manage inventory effectively.
• Operate, maintain, and clean equipment while demonstrating precise product and layout execution.
• Utilize digital tools and handheld technology to enhance sales, optimize shopping experiences, make informed business decisions on production and orders, train staff, and assure product quality focused on member satisfaction.
• Oversee area performance by stocking, rotating merchandise, ensuring quality control and date compliance, minimizing waste, and providing excellent member service by assisting with purchases, payment methods, locating items, and resolving concerns.
• Serve as a brand ambassador fostering a respectful, supportive, team-oriented work environment by influencing and training colleagues.
• Comply with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards, employing company procedures and the Open Door Policy for problem resolution.
• Complete assigned duties by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, identifying improvements, and adapting to changes and feedback.

Compensation Details

The pay rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, meeting or exceeding applicable minimum wage requirements. Additional premiums between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, location, season, or specific duties. Multiple premiums can be combined if qualified.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Commitment to completing all required trainings and assessments within designated timeframes.
• Preferred: Food Safety or Food Handler Certification.
