Baker and Packager Associate

About the Role

We are seeking diligent and customer-oriented Bakery and Packager Associates who enjoy producing fresh baked goods daily by adhering to recipes, ensuring proper wrapping, labeling, and storage of products to guarantee freshness for our customers. This role involves multitasking in a fast-paced setting while assisting members with bakery orders and maintaining a positive, team-focused atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively within the bakery team to meet production needs and adjust to business demands.
• Produce bakery items by following recipes and make-up instructions, operate baking equipment, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, cold chain protocols, and inventory management.
• Utilize handheld devices to improve sales, enhance the customer shopping experience, and support inventory and quality decisions.
• Maintain operational excellence by managing work areas to company standards, controlling product quality and freshness, preventing waste, and ensuring correct packaging and labeling.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting members, answering inquiries, assisting with purchasing decisions, and maintaining a clean and inviting bakery area.
• Promote the bakery department and the store by modeling high-quality service, enthusiasm, and commitment.
• Adhere to company policies, ethics, and operational procedures including the Open Door Policy to support a respectful work environment.
• Manage work priorities by collaborating with colleagues and management, communicating progress, and adapting to changes effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while efficiently assisting customers.
• Strong multitasking skills and a member-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in bakery operations or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Hourly wage ranges between $18 and $26, guaranteed to meet or exceed applicable minimum wage requirements.
