CAD Technician - Roads & Infrastructure

About the Role

We are looking for a proficient CAD Technician specializing in Roads and Infrastructure projects to be part of our engineering team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in preparing and updating detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring adherence to relevant project specifications, organizational standards, and authority regulations.

Key Duties

• Create, revise, and update CAD drawings specifically for roads and infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive engineering plans including layouts, sections, profiles, and detailed schematics.
• Verify that all drawings conform to project requirements, in-house standards, and local authority guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and design personnel to integrate design changes.
• Manage drawing registers and follow proper document control protocols.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on all drawings prior to submission.
• Provide prompt drawing preparation and modifications to support the project teams.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years’ experience as a CAD Operator focused on Roads and Infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD software.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drafting standards and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience within the UAE.
• Understanding of local authority drafting standards advantageous.
