About the Role

We are actively seeking qualified Cable Jointers to become integral members of our team. Base locations include New Forest, Yeovil, Poole, Salisbury, West London, Slough, Reading, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Petersfield, Swindon, Melksham, and Oxford.

The position is permanent, full time, and on-site. Compensation is approximately £50,000 OTE, with the base salary ranging from £36,139 to £43,188 plus additional payments for overtime and standby.

Key Duties

  • Execute jointing, cabling, and excavation tasks on HV and LV networks both during planned projects and emergency responses.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards for yourself and colleagues, exemplifying and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations to ensure customer service continuity.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather, including undertaking out-of-hours standby responsibilities and responding to storm events at short notice.
  • Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the company.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of DNO electrical qualifications — this is not an entry-level or trainee post.
  • Proven experience in cable jointing within the UK or internationally, including recognized qualifications for LV, HV, 11kV, or 33kV systems.
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV electricity networks.
  • Willingness and flexibility for standby and emergency call-out duties.
  • Commitment to safety protocols with excellent communication skills and adaptability to shifting project priorities.
  • Experience or willingness to perform excavation with hand tools and operate mini excavators, training available if needed.
  • Valid full UK driving licence is mandatory.
