Role Purpose
The position focuses on serving as a Service Buyer responsible for managing procurement activities related to goods, services, and subcontracts while adhering to corporate policies, timelines, cost goals, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and/or services, ensuring alignment with cost, time, quality, and corporate standards.
- Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to vendors based on defined purchase requisitions.
- Assist vendors during preparation of technical and commercial proposals, maintaining confidentiality of bid details.
- Create commercial and economic bid comparisons to evaluate proposals and recommend improvements or vendor selection strategies.
- Lead negotiations focusing on commercial and economic terms.
- Draft purchase orders or subcontracts incorporating standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions plus any project-specific purchase conditions, managing deviations if encountered.
- Finalize bid processes by confirming purchase/subcontract awards with successful vendors and notifying unsuccessful bidders.
- Monitor and negotiate changes or revisions to purchase orders or subcontracts when necessary.
- Execute procurement tasks in compliance with established procedures and systems.
- Review and provide feedback on technical documentation associated with purchase requisitions and evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational background in procurement or related disciplines.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant procurement experience.
- Proficiency in English language is mandatory.
- Strong skills in MS Office and SAP software applications.
