Work Schedule and Benefits
Team members start early but enjoy workdays finishing no later than 3:30 pm, with no dinner shifts required. This hourly role includes tip sharing and full-time benefits such as paid time off, vision, dental, and medical insurance.
Role Summary
The Busser (Front of House Team Member) plays a vital role in delivering excellent guest experiences by efficiently maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Responsibilities include rapid pre-bussing and bussing of tables, floor cleaning, and supporting other front-of-house team members by restocking necessary items like glassware and dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hostesses, servers, bartenders, and management through the seating system to manage table status.
- Pre-clear tables when the dining room is not busy to support dining area readiness.
- Clean and bus tables inside and on the patio, including bar tops.
- Refill sanitizer supplies to adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
- Sanitize workspaces before, during, and after shifts.
- Help stock items including glassware, plates, silverware, and water bottles.
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.
- Participate in completing the restaurant’s daily maintenance program.
Qualification Criteria
- Possess a positive mindset with eagerness to learn and grow within the team.
- Physically capable of placing items on both high and low shelves safely.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Work efficiently, safely, and accurately for shifts lasting up to 10 hours.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Remain mobile throughout the entire shift to meet physical demands.
- Regularly carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
- Transport bus tubs filled with dishes continuously for up to 6 hours.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations to prevent harm.
Physical Demands
This role includes walking and interacting with guests throughout the restaurant, moving and grasping items up to five pounds consistently, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending or stooping. The ability to observe cleanliness and operate touchscreen devices is essential. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
