Role Overview
The Busser’s role is to create an exceptional guest experience by maintaining cleanliness and order in dining areas, contributing directly to the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clear tables thoroughly after guests finish their meals, including dishes and napkins, and transport them to the kitchen.
- Sweep and mop floors and chairs around dining spaces to ensure spotless condition.
- Maintain adequate stocks of glassware, silverware, and dishware throughout service.
- Sanitize and reset tables promptly following guest departures.
- Replenish condiments such as salt, pepper, and others at dining tables.
- Assist servers by facilitating food delivery.
- Clean and keep service stations well-stocked and organized.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- Motivation to care for others, willingness to learn, and a growth mindset.
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
- Able to clean all restaurant areas including wiping tabletops, legs, booth seating, and floor debris.
- Physically mobile throughout the shift and capable of frequent transporting of plates, glasses, and baskets, approximately 30 times per shift.
- Capacity to carry items up to 5 pounds regularly and lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to bend and stoop as required.
- Visual acuity sufficient for cleanliness checks and touchscreen operation.
- Reasonable accommodations for disabilities can be provided.
Compensation
Compensation includes the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, varying with availability and performance.
