Role Overview

The Dishwasher, also known as a Kitchen Team Member, plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, and glassware are spotless and ready for service. This fast-moving, high-volume position supports all restaurant areas and is essential for seamless kitchen and dining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, glasses, utensils, and other kitchen items to maintain smooth restaurant functioning (~70% of duties).
  • Perform assigned food preparation tasks precisely following recipes (~5%).
  • Prepare and organize the workstation efficiently (~5%).
  • Adhere to strict sanitary and safe food handling procedures at all times (~5%).
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas before, during, and after shifts (~5%).
  • Complete scheduled daily and weekly cleaning projects (~5%).
  • Assist with unloading and storing deliveries (~5%).

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Capability to place items on both high and low shelves including plates, utensils, pans, and cases.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes exactly as presented.
  • Work efficiently, safely, and accurately for shifts up to 10 hours in a fast-paced, high-stress setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to assist with maintenance, prep cooking, and support other stations as needed.
  • Competence using knives, slicing machines, and other food prep equipment.
  • Physical stamina to remain mobile throughout the shift.
  • Capability to lift and transport cases up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergency situations for safety.

Physical Demands: Must be able to move throughout the restaurant, lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and have sufficient vision for cleanliness assessment and touchscreen use. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
