About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Specialist to collaborate with an outstanding non-profit client to successfully introduce and establish a novel subscription platform aimed at New Zealand's small-to-medium enterprise (SME) community. This role emphasizes initiating new engagements rather than managing existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and connect with SME decision-makers across New Zealand, converting leads into active partnerships.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including discovery discussions, product demonstrations, proposal presentations, and deal closures.
- Engage with critical stakeholders such as business owners, founders, operational managers, and HR personnel.
- Provide market insights and feedback to enhance sales strategies, value communication, and customer onboarding processes.
- Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline with consistent follow-ups, accurate forecasting, and measurable conversion objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in outbound B2B sales with experience in business development, lead generation, and prospecting, preferably involving subscription-based products, memberships, or workplace solutions.
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand SME ecosystem and effective communication skills tailored to busy business leaders.
- Consultative selling approach complemented by excellent listening skills and adeptness at overcoming objections.
- Self-driven with disciplined CRM usage and a goal-focused attitude to achieve sales targets.
Why Join
- Contribute to a purpose-led, collaborative non-profit environment that values its people and mission.
- Flexible work locations available across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
- Opportunity to take ownership of a new product line, influencing its commercial growth and strategic direction.
