Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Programme Coordinator for a fixed-term, full-time position based in Wellington. This role involves partnering closely with Delivery Managers, Programme Managers, and senior leaders to offer essential delivery support within a programme work package. Key functions include assisting in planning, reporting, governance, risk management, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted delivery support embedded within programme workstreams.
  • Assist in planning activities and maintain detailed programme documentation including RAID logs, action registers, and dashboards.
  • Support governance groups through coordinating meeting papers, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Contribute to risk management and reporting processes to track programme progress effectively.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in a Programme Coordinator, PMO support, or equivalent programme support role.
  • Proven track record supporting complex programmes, transformation efforts, or projects involving multiple workstreams.
  • Exemplary planning and organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience managing programme plans and preparing regular reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to foster robust relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience interacting confidently with senior leadership and supporting governance decision processes.
  • Self-driven with the capacity to identify challenges early and implement practical solutions.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-moving programme environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Atlassian Jira is highly desirable.
  • Awareness of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, with a dedication to culturally responsive work practices that honor tikanga Māori and Pacific perspectives.
