Role Importance
The Business Development Representative (BDR) supports the Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa region, collaborating closely with sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams. This role focuses on market expansion in the MEA region and offers excellent career progression opportunities, particularly toward becoming a Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with prospective clients through phone, email, social channels, and potentially in person, delivering compelling SimCorp messaging.
- Qualify and nurture incoming marketing leads following SimCorp's sales methodologies.
- Evaluate inbound leads and marketing inquiries utilizing BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to identify viable sales opportunities.
- Participate in Account Based Marketing for targeted key accounts by gathering intelligence, sharing curated content, building relationships, and uncovering possibilities.
- Manage invitations for SimCorp promotional events to attract and retain prospects and existing clients.
- Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM database by researching and verifying contacts and account details.
- Record all interactions in Salesforce, using its reports to monitor progress and support tasks.
- Stay informed regarding SimCorp’s products, solutions, industry developments, and competitors to provide accurate information to prospects and customers.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and communication.
- Provide constructive feedback from client interactions to influence marketing campaigns and assist sales in appointment scheduling.
- Learn and apply SimCorp’s sales concepts and techniques effectively.
- Acquire and maintain an in-depth understanding of SimCorp’s products and solutions, emphasizing features and benefits.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between one to five years of relevant experience in a comparable role within capital markets or software solutions serving buy-side or sell-side financial markets.
- Have foundational knowledge of capital markets, investment operations, and portfolio management systems, gained through academic study or prior professional experience; familiarity with SimCorp or its competitor products is beneficial.
- Be proficient in English and Arabic languages.
- Understand complex solution selling with a consultative sales approach.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform high-volume outreach to initiate meaningful prospect and client engagements.
- Exhibit advanced computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
