Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) role reports directly to the Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This position plays a strategic role in expanding our presence by identifying and qualifying new business prospects primarily through phone, email, and social media, with potential face-to-face engagements. The role supports the sales team by developing a robust sales pipeline within the MEA market and offers significant opportunities for career advancement toward a sales management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate communications with targeted stakeholders via phone, email, and social media, delivering tailored SimCorp messages to engage prospects.
- Qualify inbound marketing leads following Best-in-Class sales strategies and using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) criteria.
- Support Account Based Marketing by gathering intelligence and nurturing relationships with high-priority accounts.
- Manage invitations for promotional events to attract and maintain client interest.
- Maintain and update contact and account data within Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate logging and reporting of all interactions.
- Provide prospects with detailed information about SimCorp products, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to align messaging and refine campaigns based on market feedback.
- Assist sales colleagues by helping schedule appointments and nurturing leads.
- Continuously learn and apply SimCorp’s selling methods while building solid product and industry knowledge.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Between one to five years of prior experience in business development or related roles, preferably within capital markets or financial software solution providers.
- Basic understanding of capital markets, portfolio management, and investment operations acquired through education or professional exposure.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
- Familiarity with complex, consultative sales processes aimed at delivering customized solutions.
- Capacity to perform a high volume of outreach activities to generate meaningful prospect engagements.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
