About the Role
Join a leading innovator in the financial technology space as a Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This role, reporting directly to the Managing Director for MEA, involves close collaboration with sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams to identify and engage new business opportunities primarily in the FinTech sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and maintain communication with targeted stakeholders through phone, email, social media, and potentially face-to-face meetings to convey relevant SimCorp messaging.
- Qualify and nurture inbound marketing leads by following best sales practices and using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) framework to discover viable sales prospects.
- Support Account Based Marketing strategies for key target accounts by gathering intelligence, sharing tailored content, fostering relationships, and uncovering new opportunities.
- Manage invitations for company promotional events to attract and retain interest from prospective and current clients.
- Maintain and update the CRM system (SalesForce) by researching new contacts, enriching account and contact data, logging all interactions, and utilizing SalesForce reports to enhance efforts.
- Provide prospective and existing customers with up-to-date product and industry knowledge along with competitor insights.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and provide campaign feedback derived from gathered information.
- Assist sales teams with setting appointments and pursue further professional development to transition into sales management.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant work experience (1-5 years) in a similar business development role within capital markets or software providers serving buy-side or sell-side markets.
- Basic understanding of capital markets, investment operations, and portfolio management systems gained through academic study or professional experience.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Familiarity with complex solution selling adopting a consultative approach.
- Ability to perform a high volume of outreach activities to present ideas that lead to successful engagement with prospects and clients.
- Strong PC skills, especially with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
