Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market, reporting to the Managing Director for the region. This position involves close collaboration with sales, pre-sales, and marketing departments and offers excellent prospects for progressing into a Sales Manager role.
Core Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage communications with relevant stakeholders through phone, email, and social media to effectively convey SimCorp’s value propositions.
- Qualify and cultivate inbound marketing leads in accordance with best sales practices, applying the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) framework to identify opportunities.
- Support Account Based Marketing strategies by gathering intelligence, sharing targeted content, and building relationships with prospects in key accounts.
- Coordinate invitations and engagements for SimCorp promotional events to attract and maintain client interest.
- Update and maintain accurate account and contact information using the SalesForce CRM, logging all interactions and utilizing reports to support sales efforts.
- Provide detailed insights into SimCorp’s products and industry trends, staying current on competitors and market developments.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure a unified messaging approach toward prospects, clients, and partners.
- Offer constructive feedback on marketing campaigns based on insights from prospect interactions.
- Assist sales with appointment scheduling and other support activities.
Professional Development
- Master SimCorp’s sales techniques and concepts to enhance performance.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of SimCorp’s products, solutions, and their benefits to clients.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles within capital markets firms or software solution providers catering to buy-side or sell-side markets.
- Have a foundational understanding of capital markets, investment operations, and portfolio management systems through study or professional experience; knowledge of SimCorp or its competitors is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Arabic languages.
- Understand and engage in complex solution selling requiring a consultative approach.
- Demonstrate capacity for high-volume outreach to generate interest and foster client engagements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
