Kaliba seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Simulation Solutions team, focusing on the Australia and New Zealand market. This role partners with Central Innovation, a leading engineering technology consultancy, to expand their simulation business by helping engineering and manufacturing companies enhance their product development and validation processes using simulation software and consulting services. This position is not typical transactional software sales; instead, it requires working closely with engineering clients to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and present simulation solutions that provide tangible business benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve new business acquisitions throughout the ANZ region.
- Expand and nurture existing customer relationships to uncover growth potential.
- Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and technical discussions with clients.
- Gain a deep understanding of engineering workflows to demonstrate how simulation can improve design, testing, and manufacturing outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical consultants and application engineers during the sales cycle.
- Oversee the sales process from initial contact through to deal closure.
Required Experience and Skills
- Solid knowledge of simulation technologies or CAD software.
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
- Proven experience interfacing with engineering customers.
- Consultative sales skills aimed at resolving customer issues.
- Ability to foster and maintain long-term customer partnerships.
- Strong enthusiasm for driving new business and account growth.
- Familiarity with technologies such as ANSYS, Simcenter, Abaqus, Simulia, Altair, Strand7, SolidWorks Simulation, and Siemens Digital Industries Software.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $130,000 plus superannuation.
- Car allowance of $12,500 annually.
- Uncapped commission structure.
- Realistic on-target earnings exceeding $220,000.
- Coverage of the Australia and New Zealand territory.
- Strong technical pre-sales support available.
- Access to a market-leading engineering software portfolio.
- Significant opportunities for career advancement within a growing company.
Why Join?
This is an exceptional opportunity for professionals who combine technical simulation knowledge with business acumen to support engineering organisations in solving complex challenges. If you enjoy client interaction, have a passion for simulation technology, and seek to play a significant role in expanding a respected ANZ business, this position offers a compelling career path.
