Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join Central Innovation's Simulation Solutions team, a prominent engineering technology consultancy in the ANZ region aiming to expand their simulation business. This role involves engaging engineering and manufacturing organizations to enhance their design, validation, and engineering results through simulation software and advisory services.

Key Duties

  • Acquire new clients within the Australia and New Zealand market.
  • Develop and nurture existing customer relationships, looking for avenues to expand business.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, provide demonstrations, and engage in technical dialogues with clients.
  • Gain a strong understanding of engineering workflows and identify where simulation can improve design, testing, or manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with technical consultants and application engineers during the sales process.
  • Manage sales pipelines from the initial customer interaction to closing deals.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess solid knowledge of simulation or computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Strong verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience interacting professionally with engineering clientele.
  • Adopt a consultative sales style focused on addressing client needs.
  • Capable of building and maintaining long-term customer partnerships.
  • Keen interest in generating new business and growing existing accounts.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $130,000 plus superannuation.
  • $12,500 car allowance.
  • Unlimited commission opportunities.
  • On-target earnings realistically over $220,000 annually.
