Overview
Corpay is seeking a Business Development Associate to join its Cross-border division at the Moorgate, London office. The role focuses on driving new client acquisitions by collaborating with senior sales professionals to identify and engage prospective clients, helping businesses optimize their international payments and currency exchange needs.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work onsite at Corpay's Moorgate location and will be supported with a dedicated workspace, company-provided equipment, and structured, practical training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed research on target companies to understand industry issues and customize Corpay's Cross Border solutions accordingly.
- Conduct daily personalized outreach via telephone, email, LinkedIn, and social media platforms.
- Evaluate inbound and outbound leads by analyzing factors like revenue, budget, pain points, job role, and timing to qualify prospects.
- Identify key decision-makers and internal advocates, arranging discovery calls with them.
- Organize and prepare strategic meetings for Business Development Managers, including creating comprehensive briefing notes that highlight Corpay's offerings.
- Keep Salesforce updated with every interaction, status update, forecast, and insights for accurate pipeline tracking.
- Monitor performance metrics such as activity levels, conversion rates, and pipeline valuation; adapt strategies based on data and coaching feedback.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or prospecting roles such as SDR or BDR.
- Confident and skilled in cold calling, emailing, and quickly establishing rapport.
- Proficient with technology including Salesforce (or comparable CRM systems), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office.
- Highly self-driven, resilient, and eager to learn continuously.
- Natural networking abilities with strong competencies in LinkedIn and social selling.
