Role Overview

The business controller will act as a commercial finance partner within Star Hospitality, working closely with leadership to stimulate revenue growth, refine pricing strategies, and enhance category performance and profitability. Reporting to the Business Control Manager, the position involves transforming data into insightful analyses to underpin informed commercial decisions and promote sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate revenue streams, profit margins, pricing tactics, and category metrics to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Contribute to budget creation, forecasting, and the development of strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with operational and marketing teams to enable effective commercial strategies.
  • Create business cases, develop reporting dashboards, and spearhead growth-focused initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in areas such as commercial finance, pricing, revenue management, FMCG, or hospitality finance.
  • Proven skills in analytical thinking, financial modelling, and business partnership.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP, or comparable reporting software.
