Role Overview

This pivotal position within the Category Strategy team focuses on providing insights and managing the category performance across the Grocery channel. As the Channel Champion for Grocery and Category Champion for Domestic Beer brands (both Mainstream and Craft), you will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and key customers to discover growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate insights and performance reports to enhance Grocery channel outcomes
  • Utilize shopper and category datasets such as Nielsen and Quantium to guide strategy
  • Support planning cycles, customer partnerships, and new product launches
  • Identify potential risks early and suggest corrective strategies
  • Assist in developing Grocery channel strategy and annual planning
  • Convert insights into actionable commercial recommendations
  • Collaborate on customer and joint business plans
  • Coordinate with Revenue and Trade Marketing teams
  • Serve as primary category contact for Grocery customers
  • Lead category discussions and spot growth opportunities
  • Advise on assortment, pricing, promotions, and space allocation
  • Ensure strong alignment with internal teams
  • Promote the Category Vision for Domestic Beer brands
  • Work alongside Brand and Trade Marketing departments
  • Contribute input for new product development and trade presentations
  • Propose enhancements relating to volume, distribution, pricing, and overall performance

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in category management, sales or marketing, preferably within FMCG
  • Strong analytical capabilities with confidence handling data
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and nurture professional relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with market scan data tools such as Nielsen
  • Familiarity with shopper data tools like Quantium is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
