Team Overview

The Enterprise Planning and Implementation group, recently formed, focuses on improving organizational planning and execution by enhancing prioritization and coordination. Within this group, the Business Design Services team collaborates with planners, designers, experts, and leaders to develop effective processes, services, and operational methods that improve delivery outcomes for New Zealanders.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will be instrumental in addressing complex challenges and devising improved ways of working at WorkSafe. Responsibilities include analyzing business design, services, processes, and operating model initiatives. The role requires applying a regulatory perspective to ensure solutions are credible, evidence-based, and aligned with WorkSafe’s workplace health and safety mandate.

Key Duties

  • Examine existing business processes to identify potential improvements
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders
  • Collect and consolidate information from varied contributors
  • Create process maps, define requirements, and conduct impact analyses
  • Recognize risks, dependencies, and factors relevant to implementation
  • Work collaboratively to create feasible business solutions

Candidate Profile

  • Proven expertise in business analysis focusing on processes, services, and operational methods to detect issues and improvement opportunities
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong skills in gathering and integrating stakeholder information
  • Experienced in facilitating interactive workshops and discovery activities
  • Competent in documenting requirements, impacts, and designing future-state workflows
  • Relationship-building skills with the ability to influence diverse teams
  • Preferably understands public sector environments with intricate stakeholder and governance frameworks

Compensation and Benefits

The position’s salary range is NZD 83,137 to 108,442 annually, with the initial expected salary between NZD 83,137 and 91,571. KiwiSaver and superannuation contributions are provided as per current rates, with a scheduled increase in employer contributions from 1 April 2026.

Additional Information
