BIM Manager - MEP

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned BIM Manager specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines to lead BIM execution for large-scale construction projects with Tier 1 Main Contractors in the UAE and GCC region. This role demands comprehensive expertise in managing BIM workflows across various building types and ensuring smooth coordination among multiple systems throughout all project phases.

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of BIM experience within the construction sector.
• Minimum of 5 years serving as BIM Manager or Senior BIM Lead.
• Proven track record working with Tier 1 Main Contractors in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong background in MEP systems applicable to high-rise towers, villas, commercial facilities, hospitality venues, mixed-use developments, as well as airport, healthcare, or major infrastructure projects.

Expertise & Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), AutoCAD, and preferred experience with Dynamo.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), the ISO 19650 standard, and BIM best practices.
• Experience in MEP clash detection, coordination, and assessing constructability.
• Leadership capabilities managing multidisciplinary BIM teams and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee BIM adoption and execution across all MEP disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create, update, and enforce BIM Execution Plans and project BIM guidelines.
• Supervise model development, validation, and coordination to uphold quality and accuracy.
• Lead clash detection processes and facilitate effective resolution of coordination challenges.
• Ensure integration and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, ICT, Security, and Building Management Systems.
• Maintain BIM deliverables aligning with client expectations and project directives.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Planning, Commercial, and Construction departments.
• Adhere to project specifications, regulatory compliance, and internal standards.
• Track BIM performance metrics, model fidelity, and project milestones.
• Support initiatives involving 4D scheduling, digital construction methodologies, and immersive project visualizations.
• Guide and mentor BIM Engineers and Coordinators for team development.
