BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Join a leading regional firm specializing in industrial project development as a BIM Coordinator. This position involves more than just coordination; it requires creating detailed BIM views and drawings to support construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute as a member of the BIM team handling BIM coordination and application tasks.
• Maintain BIM systems, standards, and best practices across construction projects.
• Support both offsite and onsite BIM coordination activities.
• Explore advanced 3D BIM authoring tools to improve construction efficiency.
• Create coordination drawings related to construction, equipment layout, and plinths for approvals and actual construction.
• Generate sectional views as necessary for project needs.
• Ensure all construction documents are accurate and consistent with discipline-specific BIM models.
• Follow the BIM Project Execution Plan and workflows strictly.
• Operate under guidance provided by the design professionals and BIM Discipline Lead.
• Prepare discipline-specific models and content for BIM coordination meetings.
• Convert and exchange file formats to facilitate collaboration internally and with external parties.
• Leverage BIM tools and software for coordinating design documentation.
• Assist Project Managers in coordinating various aspects of projects as required.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction projects.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Building disciplines (Architecture, Industrial Design, Projects & Facilities Management) or Engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Infrastructure).
• Practical experience with BIM authoring and reviewing software is favored.
• Strong enthusiasm for BIM, VDC, and improving construction productivity.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following software tools is beneficial: Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, or AutoCAD.
• Industry experience in construction projects is an advantage.
