BIM Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled BIM Manager to spearhead the adoption and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes within an engineering consultancy based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves overseeing multidisciplinary coordination and ensuring the accurate and punctual delivery of digital project information.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold company BIM standards, including templates, workflows, and quality assurance protocols.
• Create and update BIM Execution Plans aligned with client information needs and project milestones.
• Lead coordination efforts across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to streamline BIM integration.
• Oversee management of federated BIM models, detect clashes, track issues, and facilitate coordination meetings.
• Establish clear model responsibilities, information requirements, and set delivery deadlines for each project stage.
• Ensure consistency in model quality, drawings, naming conventions, shared coordinates, and levels of detail.
• Administer project data within the Common Data Environment, including managing revisions, reviewing documents, and tracking document statuses.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and specialist teams to coordinate BIM outputs effectively.
• Provide training and technical support to BIM coordinators, engineers, and modelers.
• Monitor resource allocation and delivery timelines for BIM projects, optimize workflows, and contribute to tender and proposal documentation.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a BIM management or similar supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise handling multidisciplinary BIM project delivery within an engineering consultancy environment.
• Proficient in Revit and Navisworks Manage software.
• Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or equivalent Common Data Environment platforms.
• Strong command of ISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plans, information management, and model coordination practices.
• Good working knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP process integration.
• Experience with UAE-based projects is advantageous.
• Strong leadership capabilities, effective communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, automation tools, model auditing, or other BIM enhancement technologies is a plus.
