Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Bid Manager will oversee the complete tender and proposal lifecycle for several simultaneous projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee tenders, expressions of interest (EOIs), proposals, capability statements, and prequalification submissions from initiation through to lodging and post-submission analysis.
- Regularly track tender portals to uncover applicable project opportunities.
- Analyze and interpret RFT, RFP, and EOI documentation to create compliance matrices.
- Develop and manage bid schedules, milestones, assignments, review checkpoints, and deadlines.
- Create, draft, and refine high-standard technical and commercial proposal content.
- Convert detailed construction and technical data into clear, compelling, and client-centric submission narratives.
- Work closely with commercial, estimating, and operational departments to shape bid strategies, key selling points, and differentiation factors.
- Coordinate input from diverse team members to meet all critical deadlines.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years' experience in bid coordination, bid management, or tender management within construction, engineering, building services, or related technical sectors.
- Proven ability to handle multiple live bids simultaneously under tight time constraints.
- Strong skills in proposal writing, content crafting, and document editing.
- Capability to simplify and translate complex technical content into persuasive submissions.
- Exceptional focus on detail regarding document quality, formatting consistency, and communication clarity.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement with a proactive attitude to ensure accountability and results.
- Superior organizational abilities, time management, and task prioritization.
