Job Overview
The Bellman (also known as Bell Attendant) undertakes a crucial role in enhancing guest experiences by assisting with luggage management, greeting guests during arrivals and departures, and offering accurate details about the hotel and surrounding area. This position plays a significant role in making a favorable first and last impression on guests, supporting front office operations adhering to the standards set by Salayel Hospitality.
Primary Duties
- Greet guests warmly when they arrive, assist with their luggage, and escort them to their rooms
- Provide explanations regarding room amenities, hotel services, and facilities
- Help guests during check-out by managing their luggage and coordinating transportation
- Keep the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage clean and well-organized
- Respond promptly and politely to guest requests, collaborating with Front Office and Concierge teams
- Assist with valet parking services when necessary
- Ensure luggage is handled carefully, tagged correctly, and stored securely
- Adhere to all safety, security protocols, and hotel Standard Operating Procedures
- Communicate any guest comments, complaints, or unusual events to the Front Office Supervisor
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent education
- Prior experience in hospitality, such as hotels or serviced apartments, is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi’s geography, including landmarks and routes, is beneficial
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying luggage
- Availability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
