Role Overview
We are looking to onboard an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to expand our multidisciplinary team. This role involves conducting behavioural assessments, crafting comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans, and implementing evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support interventions in diverse settings including clinics, homes, community locations, and schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform behavioural support evaluations to inform interventions.
- Create high-quality Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual needs.
- Deliver Positive Behaviour Support strategies grounded in evidence.
- Provide support in multiple environments: clinical, residential, community, and educational settings.
- Work closely with children, adolescents, and adults who have complex support requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with families, carers, support coordinators, and other involved parties.
- Drive improvements in clients' quality of life and encourage community participation.
Candidate Profile
- Hold current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration at proficient level or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in behavioural support roles or specifically as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
- Skilled in conducting assessments and developing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Excellent at communication and building strong relationships.
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Approach work with calmness, patience, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Passion for supporting people with disabilities and their families.
