This role offers the chance to work within a community-based framework located in Penrith or the Blue Mountains.

Role Overview

We seek an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing multidisciplinary team. The practitioner will focus on empowering children, adolescents, and adults with complex needs through evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform behavioural assessments and create comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support interventions across clinics, homes, community settings, and schools.
  • Collaborate closely with families, carers, support coordinators, and other key stakeholders to enhance quality of life and community engagement.

Candidate Profile

  • Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at proficient level or higher.
  • Previous experience in Behaviour Support Practitioner roles with thorough knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
  • Strong skills in behavioural assessments and Behaviour Support Plan development.
  • Excellent communication and ability to foster strong relationships.
  • Capable of working independently as well as contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Patient, calm, and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Passionate about supporting people with disabilities and their families.
