Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to become a valuable member of our expanding multidisciplinary team. This role involves carrying out behavioral assessments, designing detailed Behaviour Support Plans, and applying scientifically supported Positive Behaviour Support strategies across diverse settings including clinics, homes, schools, and community locations. The scope of work includes supporting individuals of all ages who have complex needs, collaborating effectively with families, carers, support coordinators, and other stakeholders, all aimed at improving clients' quality of life and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments related to behavioral support needs.
- Develop thorough and individualized Behaviour Support Plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions built on Positive Behaviour Support principles.
- Provide support across clinical, residential, educational, and community environments.
- Collaborate deeply with families, carers, coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Focus on enhancing community participation and overall life quality for clients.
Candidate Profile
- Current registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Core level or higher.
- Proven experience in behavioural support roles or as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- In-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support methodologies and frameworks.
- Competent in conducting behavioral assessments and drafting tailored support plans.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a team environment.
- A tranquil, patient, and solution-oriented attitude.
- Genuine dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.
