Bartender

Position Overview

As a Bartender at Marriott International in Doha, Qatar, you will be responsible for crafting beverages according to precise recipes, handling wine and champagne service, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. You are expected to prepare fresh garnishes, stock necessary supplies, and manage glassware and utensils efficiently.

Key Duties

• Prepare and serve drinks accurately following specified recipes.
• Handle opening and serving of wine and champagne bottles.
• Keep the bar and surrounding areas clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure adequate stock of ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Wash used glassware and clear soiled items from bars and tables.
• Communicate replenishment needs proactively and process all payment transactions.
• Balance cash bank at shift end, complete cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, and secure receipts and bank funds.
• Safeguard liquors, beers, wines, and other bar inventory.
• Complete closing duties to secure the bar area.

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance with proper uniform.
• Protect confidential company information and assets.
• Welcome and interact with guests following company hospitality standards with genuine appreciation.

• Develop positive relationships with team members and support collaborative goals.
• Follow quality standards and visually verify information from various formats.
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering in confined or uneven spaces.
• Execute other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent educational background.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
